60 days of home school

As Norway went into lockdown due to COVID-19, 2020 March 12, I instantly decided to make a photo documentary of the unprecedented and unfamiliar situation that stumbled upon us. Living in a remote farmers community at the Norwegian west coast, Ervik/Stadlandet, with no registered corona cases, we still followed government guidelines and practised social distancing. It became an opportunity to adapt and try new routines as a family. Our home became school for four children and office for two parents. This is a story of everyday life under extraordinary circumstances.

Every day I posted a new series at Instagram Stories to connect with others. I’m thankful for all feedback along the way, realising we have been privileged with the freedom to live our lives in safe distance to the world events, still being part of it all. Starting out I had no idea how long it was going to last, and the amount of work it would take - at an average three hours a day, with shooting, editing and publishing, staying up late at night to wrap up the day’s events and non-events. I’m looking forward to move on now, and to look back later.
